A moderate walk with one fairly long incline up to the edge. The walk covers a variety of terrain - paths, rocky tracks, peat and moorland - boots advisable, vital if wet. No pub/shop/cafe stops en-route so bring whatever supplies you need and sufficient water as well as sunscreen and suitable clothing according to weather on the day. We will pass Dry Mere on the way down, perfect place for a paddle to cool our weary feet!
